GENERAL INFORMATION & TALK IDEAS
PGDay Hyd 2024 is on August 30th, 2024 in Hyderabad, India at IIIT-Hyderabad Campus. We’re looking for talk submissions for a wide variety of PostgreSQL users, from app developers, DBAs, operations engineers, decision makers, and PostgreSQL contributors. The PGDay Hyd 2024 audience ranges from people who are new to PostgreSQL to advanced users. We welcome submissions on introductory topics to advanced concepts, and everything in between!
Some ideas for talks include:
– Use cases: how does your organization use PostgreSQL?
– Features: how do you use one or more PostgreSQL features to solve a problem?
– Performance: what are some strategies you use to optimize your PostgreSQL workload?
– App building: how does PostgreSQL help you build your applications?
– Scaling: what do you do to scale your PostgreSQL workloads?
– Security: what are best practices you use to run PostgreSQL securely?
– Deployment environments: how do you run PostgreSQL, and what are the tradeoffs you take in your deployment environment?
– New technologies: Are you building new technology around PostgreSQL, or building an extension that adds more capabilities to PostgreSQL?
– Operations: how do you manage your team’s PostgreSQL databases? What do you do for development and production environments?
– Upcoming features: what’s coming in newer versions of PostgreSQL?
We are focused on talks that are open source oriented. While we do welcome talks where PostgreSQL is used in a managed service or is a – commercial fork of the software, please ensure that your content is open source focused. We are looking for talks that deliver practical guidance, not sales pitches. If you aren’t sure whether your idea is appropriate for PGDay Hyd 2024, please email the program committee.
All selected speakers will get free entry to the conference. We do not in general cover travel and accommodations for speakers, but may be able to do that in limited cases. If you require assistance with funding to be able to attend, please make a note of this in the Submission Notes field.
Thank you for your interest in submitting a proposal for PGDay Hyd 2024. The submission window is now closed. Stay tuned for the Schedule!
